About Me

About me:
If you Google me you'll find:
Sheryl C. S. Johnson hales from West Jordan, Utah, where she loved sleeping in the backyard with her mother and counting stars. She graduated from Westminster College with a degree in finance, during which time she converted to the Church. She owns the digital scrapbook website GrannyEnchanted.com and loves writing fiction. She now lives with her favorite people in a wind tunnel, where she is blown back and forth between Ute and Cougar fans.

And you'll find my first book (an L.D.S. romance):
Table For Two

You might even find my blog... the one I'm terrible about writing in:

"Happiness is a choice made moment by moment, thought by thought. It is as elusive as a butterfly if you chase it and as certain as a sunrise if you choose it." ~ Sheryl C.S. Johnson

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a Latter-day Saint because I prayed about the promise in the Book of Mormon:

"Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.
And whatsoever thing is good is just and true; wherefore, nothing that is good denieth the Christ, but acknowledgeth that he is.
And ye may know that he is, by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore I would exhort you that ye deny not the power of God; for he worketh by power, according to the faith of the children of men, the same today and tomorrow, and forever."

After the prayer I received an undeniable witness.  It didn't come from missionaries, a preacher or a friend. It came from God and in a way that I cannot, nor will I ever, deny that Jesus Christ's church is restored on the earth and organized as it was when He was first here before His Resurrection.

Because I love making digi scrapbook supplies.
I'm a terrible scrapbooker though.  I'm having too much fun making paper.

I created GrannyEnchanted.Com because I was visiting digi scrapbook blogs and they had no directories.  I wished, oh, how I wished that I could see everything they had to offer.  Instead I had to settle for clicking "older post" again and again and again.  And after a while all the links expired.  What the world needed was a digi scrapbook source with directories and freebies that didn't expire. VOILA! A Granny was born.  I'm not a real granny, but my Grandma Barbara, who passed away in 1997, was ENCHANTING. Someday I'll be a granny and I hope to be just as enchanting as she was.

  1. Let me be the first to congratulate you on your personal write-up. Very nice...but I sure didn't expect to see someone as young as you (or at least how young you look.) Now, me, I'm a Granny. I have 2 grandkids and I'm only, ONLY, 51. Don't look as quite as young as you do but I'm not as old as I thought you were ;}
haha I truly enjoy your site and wish with all my heart I could use Photoshop to create beautiful things as you do. So glad I found you. You fulfill all the desires of scrapping those beautiful papers, embellishment, etc that I would love to do but haven't a clue how. Again, congratulations on your site and definitely on your book (although I'm not a Mormon.) God bless.

  2. I love Grannies! If you're thinking of learning I suggest Photoshop Elements (That's what I use - not as expensive as actual Photoshop). And just know that everything is online, free tutorials, even Youtube videos. I'm seeing a growing demand for tutorials on making digi scrapper supplies. I guess I should do something about that. I don't mind showing everyone how I make what I make. Love meeting you and 50's are the new 20's.

  3. I love your site more than words can say! I think it is because of you that I want to be a digi-scrapper, and not only that, but to learn to create papers, elements, and all those cool and beautiful things you do! I don't have a program yet (still just using powerpoint and any online freebies I can get ahold of) but maybe I will be able to save up enough to get Photoshop Elements one day! :-)))
Thank you again and again--and I totally agree--everything is so beautifully organized on your site! I LOVE it!
Thanks also for the explanation of the name--it puzzled me at first, esp after seeing your picture, ha! Grandmothers are awesome--I hope to be an awesome one someday too!
Well, have a great day! God bless!

  4. You'll love digi designing. The price of Photoshop Elements, especially right after Thanksgiving in November, usually isn't too expensive. Thank you for your kind words. They made my day.

  10. Hi! Thank you so for your witness! I am Catholic, and I truly admire a person whose faith in Jesus is so great that it is their heart, their world, and to publish it should make all Christians think if they'd be able to make that kind of public statement in this day and time. I also thank you for all your too cool papers, kits and a big thank you for instructions. I only have a tablet, so I'm going to have to set up my daughter's less new computer and get started. I was wondering if you could get or know where to find, some Catholic images? I can't seem to find any, a few clipart is all. Thank you again, in Christ, Mary

  11. I would try a search for "free Easter digital scrapbook" on Google, Google image, and Pinterest. Easter has a lot more Catholic symbolism than any other holiday, I think. Good luck with your search.
